King City repeated as champion, North Andrew wins their first since 2022, and Marceline wins their first conference championship in the GRC.  In addition, King City and North Andrew won district championships along with Worth County. GRC Maysville and Putnam County split the GRC championship last season, and the race is expected tobe as tight this season.  Both had four first-place votes, but Maysville edged out Putnam County in points.  Polo received one first-place vote and is the coaches' pick to finish third.   Gallatin is a newcomer to the conference race this season after playing in a co-op with Tri-County in the past.  Brookfield and Marceline will also be playing their first season in the GRC. GRC West St. Joseph Christian is the coaches' pick to win the GRC West.  The Lions are two-time defending champions looking to become the first baseball team in either conference to accomplish the three-peat. Payton Parn of Brookfield won his 4th state championship.  It is the 43rd time in state history that has happened. Ryder Herron of Rock Port earns the lone GRC West medal winning the 285 lb division. Brookfield Girls finished 2nd in State.  It is the 3rd straight season that Brookfield has finished 2nd in Girls Wrestling.  Brookfield Boys finished 2nd in State.  It is Brookfield's 5th consecutive Top 4 finish and their 14th overall.
