St. Joseph Christian is the coaches' pick in the GRC West to win their 4th consecutive conference championship

St. Joseph Christian comes into the season having won the last three conference championships in baseball.  The GRC West coaches have picked them to win their 4th straight title. They received four first-place votes.  They will be challenged by King City.  The Wildkats received three first-place votes and are picked to finish second. Albany was picked 3rd, and Princeton was picked 4th.  North Harrison received the remaining first-place vote and is picked 5th in the conference.



1: St. Joseph Christian
2025 Record: 20-6 (7-0 GRC West)
Coach: Jody Stewart
St. Joseph Christian has won 4 GRC or GRC West Championships.  Their four conference titles are the most of any GRC West school.  They won the district championship game over Polo last season before falling to Maysville in the State Sectional.

2. King City
2025 Record:13-9 (4-3 GRC West)
Coach: Vance Proffitt 
King City last won the GRC Baseball Championship in 1935.  The GRC had baseball in 1934 and 1935.  They dropped it after the 1935 season, then resumed baseball in 2019.

3. Albany
2025 Record: 12-13 (4-3 GRC West)
Coach: Dustin Worrell
Albany has advanced to the District Championship Game in 3 of the 5 years since reinstating baseball.

4. Princeton
2025 Record: 8-10 (4-3 GRC West)
Coach: Seth Bass
In 2025, Princeton had its longest winning streak (4 games) since 2022 when it won the district championship.

5. North Harrison
2025 Record: 3-11 (1-6 GRC West)
Coach: Victor Rivera 
North Harrison has won 6 games over the last two seasons, but every win was by 10 or more runs.

6. North Andrew
2025 Record: 6-13 (3-4 GRC West)
Coach: Justin Agnor
North Andrew's 6 wins in 2025 were their most since 2019.  They snapped a 22-game conference losing streak by defeating Albany 8-4 last season.  

6. Pattonsburg
2025 Record: 7-6 (5-2 GRC West)
Coach: Brandon Burkhead
Pattonsburg's 5-2 conference record in 2025 was its best since winning the GRC in 2021.

8. Stanberry
2025 Record: 1-15 (0-7 GRC West)
Coach: Jason Dias
Stanberry reinstated baseball in 2025.  Their first win came against North Nodaway by a score of 8-3.
