Putnam County is the coaches' pick to win their 3rd straight GRC Baseball Championship

Putnam County comes into the season having shared the last two GRC championships in baseball.  The coaches have picked them to win their 3rd straight title. They received four first-place votes.  They will be challenged by Maysville and Trenton.  Maysville received three first-place votes and was picked to finish second. Trenton received the remaining two first-place votes and was picked to finish third.  Polo shared the title with Putnam County last season, but they were the coaches' pick to finish seventh.


1: Putnam County
2025 Record: 21-7 (7-1 GRC)
Coach: Blane Robinson
Putnam County has won 4 GRC Championships.  Their four conference titles are the most of any GRC school.  Putnam County has been a #1 seed in their district each of the past five seasons.

2: Maysville
2025 Record: 22-6 (6-2 GRC)
Coach: Dakota Dunlap
Maysville has won four consecutive district championships.  Since adding baseball in 2019, they have reached the district championship every season, going 4-2.

3: Trenton
2025 Record: 10-12 (5-3 GRC)
Coach: David Shockley
Trenton's 5-3 conference record was their most conference wins since the GRC started baseball in 2019.

4: South Harrison
2025 Record: 6-14 (4-4 GRC)
Coach: Jaren Van Meter
South Harrison's 4-4 conference record was their best record since the GRC started baseball in 2019.

5: Marceline
2025 Record: 10-15 (4-4 GRC)
Coach: Ryan Collins
Marceline is 5-0 vs rival Brookfield since 2021.

6: Gallatin
2025 Record: 3-12 (1-7 GRC)
Coach: Brock Goodman
After many years participating in the Tri-County co-op, Gallatin fielded their own team last year.  

7: Polo
2025 Record: 17-5 (7-1 GRC)
Coach: Tyler Detherage
Polo captured a share of the GRC Baseball Championship last season.  It was Polo's first GRC title in baseball.

8: Brookfield
2025 Record: 5-12 (1-7 GRC)
Coach: Cory Luke
Brookfield has advanced to the District Semifinals in all five seasons since adding baseball in 2021.

9: Milan
2025 Record: 4-12 (1-7 GRC)
Coach: Nathan Dodson
Milan's win over Brookfield last season snapped a 19-game losing streak in the GRC.
