Princeton Tigers take on the North Harrison Shamrocks in Girls First Round of the Gilman City Tournament

1st Quarter

Buckler with a bucket.  She is fouled.  She gets the FT.  7:12 left.  3-0 Princeton.

Robins answers for the Shamrocks.  3-2 Tigers with 6:30 left.

Morgan with a bucket for North Harrison.  Buckler answers for Princeton.  5:09 left.  Tigers up 5-4.

Buckler with another bucket.  She is fouled again.  She hits the FT again.  4:47 left. 8-4 Tigers.

Henke scores on the give and go.  4:00 left with Tigers up 10-4.

Shamrocks call timeout with 3:46 left.

Robins scores again for North Harrison to cut it to 10-6.  She then hits a 3.  It is not 10-9 with 3:05 left.

Henke answers with a 3 with 2:50 left.  13-9 Tigers

Henke with another 3 with 10 sec left to close out the scoring.  Tigers lead 16-9 after one quarter of play.

2nd Quarter

Addy Henke starts the scoring in the 2nd.  She has scored the last 10 for the Tigers.  It is now 18-9 with 7:00 left.

Shahan with a bucket to make it 20-9 Tigers.  6:25 left

Grace Kelly is fouled and will shoot 2 FT with 5:29 left.  She misses both.

Grace Kellly with a putback to make it 22-9 with 4:29 left.

Grace Kelly with another bucket.  24-9 Tigers.  North Harrison calls timeout with 3:26 left.

Grace Kelly scores again underneath.  Henke then scores on a putback.  28-9 Tigers with 2:30 left.

Henke with another bucket to make it 30-9 with 2:00 left.

Shahan adds a bucket.  Now 32-9 with 1:30 left.

Buckler adds a 3 with 1:15 left.  Buckler scores again with 45 sec left.  This time a two.

Morgan is fouled for the Shamrocks, but misses 2 FT.  

Score is 37-9 Tigers at the half.

3rd Quarter

Halle Morgan is fouled with 7:28 left, she is shooting 2 free throws.  She misses both.

Henke with a bucket on the other end.  39-9 Tigers.  6:30 left in the 3rd.

Henke with a bucket with 4:43 left to make it 41-9 Tigers.

Grace Kelly with a bucket underneath. 43-9 Tigers with 4:00 left.

Trendi Johnson answers with 3:47 left.

Allnutt with a bucket. 45-11 Tigers with 3:30 left.

Robins with a 3 to cut lead to 45-14, but Shahan answers with a 3 to extend lead back to 48-14.  2:30 left in 3rd.  Shahan with another bucket underneath with 2:00 left.

Henke with a bucket.  52-14 Tigers with 1:30 left.

Girdner with a bucket for the Tigers to make it 54-14.

Robins is fouled with 8.8 left.  She misses both.

Robins misses shot at the buzzer.

Tigers lead 54-14 after 3.

4th Quarter

Shahan opens up the scoring for the Tigers to make it 56-14.

Dunkin is fouled and is shooting 2.  She hits 1 of 2.  Tigers up 57-14 with 6:00 left.

Robins with a 3 with 3:20 left to make it 57-17.

Dunkin with a bucket.  She is fouled.  She misses the FT.  Tigers up 59-17 with 2:00 left.

Robins with a putback with 34.5 left to make it 59-19.

Princeton wins 59-19

Bell Game Rivalry joins the GRC

by Jeremy Benson, GrandRiverConference.com It's a mere 12 miles that separate Brookfield High School and Marceline High School, as per Google Maps.  But what's truly remarkable is the 54-year hiatus since these two schools last clashed in a conference football game. Brookfield and Marceline were both in the North Central Missouri Conference (NCMC) in 1970.  In 1970, the NCMC decided to fold.  A new conference with the same name would be organized,  Brookfield remained in a revamped NCMC from 1971 to 1975 before going independent until 1986, when they joined the Tri-Rivers Conference.  They jumped to the Clarence Cannon Conference (CCC) in 2010. Marceline was in the Northern Missouri Conference from 1971 to 1974 before joining the Lewis & Clark Conference in 1975, where they would be members for almost 50 years.
