With 6:30 left, Ellensohn hits the first shot for WellNap, Avery Arnold answers with a 3 for Blue Eye.  3-2 Bulldogs lead.

Best with a 3 from the top of the key for WellNap makes it 5-3 Tigers.

So far Ellensohn has a bucket, rebound and a blocked shot.  She is making her presence known.

Ayden Shannon fakes a 3-pointer and then steps in with a mid-range jumper.  It is now 7-3 WellNap.  Just over 3 minutes left.

Bree Shannon with a bucket.  Riley Arnold answers with a 3 with a minute left.  9-6 WellNap.

Dehn answers with a 3 for WellNap and then Thornburg adds another bucket for the Tigers.

As the buzzer sounds, Johnson is fouled for Blue Eye.  She hits 1 of 2.

At the end of the 1st Quarter, WellNap leads Blue Eye 14-7.

Warren is fouled and hits 2 FT to make it 26-15.

3rd Quarter

Bree Shannon starts the 3rd with a 3.  WellNap is up 29-15.

Warren hits two FTs and then Dehn counters with a 3.  32-17 with 6 min left.

Warren is fouled and hits 1 of 2.  Blue Eye gets rebound on 2nd shot.  Fairchild gets fouled and hits 1 of 2.  WellNap with a timeout.  39-25 with 1:04 left in 3rd.

Good ball movement leads to a bucket by Ellensohn to take a 41-28 lead.

Bell Game Rivalry joins the GRC

by Jeremy Benson, GrandRiverConference.com It's a mere 12 miles that separate Brookfield High School and Marceline High School, as per Google Maps.  But what's truly remarkable is the 54-year hiatus since these two schools last clashed in a conference football game. Brookfield and Marceline were both in the North Central Missouri Conference (NCMC) in 1970.  In 1970, the NCMC decided to fold.  A new conference with the same name would be organized,  Brookfield remained in a revamped NCMC from 1971 to 1975 before going independent until 1986, when they joined the Tri-Rivers Conference.  They jumped to the Clarence Cannon Conference (CCC) in 2010. Marceline was in the Northern Missouri Conference from 1971 to 1974 before joining the Lewis & Clark Conference in 1975, where they would be members for almost 50 years.
