GRC Showcase Scenarios - Updated February 7

 Earlier, I shared information about the GRC Showcase in this post:

The placement of the games will be based on the order of finish.  At this point, there are 4 conference games left for both boys and girls (1 West and 3 East Division).  Here are scenarios for each:

Note that they scenarios are unofficial.  No games or order of finish are official until an announcement from the Conference office.

GRC West

There is one game remaining:

  • Pattonsburg at Worth County (2/9/22)

The placement of teams within the GRC West are set for both the Boys and the Girls.  The outcome of the Pattonsburg at Worth County game will not change the order due to tiebreakers:

GRC West Girls
#1 St. Joseph Christian - Plays for the Championship at 6:00 pm
#2 Pattonsburg - Plays at 3:00 pm 
#3 North Andrew - Plays at 12:00 pm
#4 Stanberry - Plays at 9:00 am
#5 King City - Plays at 6:00 pm
#6 North Harrison - Plays at 3:00 pm
#7 Worth County - Plays at 12:00 pm
#8 Albany - Plays at 9:00 am

GRC West Boys
#1 Stanberry - Plays for the Championship at 7:30 pm

There are three games remaining:
  • Milan at Trenton (2/8/22)
  • Princeton at Putnam County (2/9/22)
  • Putnam County at Maysville (2/10/22)

#1 - Will Play for the Conference Championship at 6:00 pm
The winner of the Milan at Trenton game will finish #1

#2 - Will Play at 3:00 pm
If Trenton defeats Milan, then Milan finishes #2
If Princeton defeats Putnam County and Milan defeats Trenton, then Princeton finishes #2
If Putnam County defeats Princeton and Milan defeats Trenton, then Trenton finishes #2

#3 - Will Play at 12:00 pm
If Putnam County defeats Princeton, then Polo finishes #3
If Princeton defeats Putnam County and Milan defeats Trenton, then Trenton finishes #3
If Princeton defeats Putnam County and Trenton defeats Milan, then Princeton finishes #3

#4 - Will Play at 9:00 am
If Princeton defeats Putnam County, then Polo finishes #4
If Putnam County defeats Princeton, then Princeton finishes #4

#5 - Will Play at 6:00 pm
South Harrison finishes at #5

#6 - Will Play at 3:00 pm
Winner of the Maysville at Putnam County game will finish #6

#7 - Will Play at 12:00 pm
Loser of the Maysville at Putnam County game will finish #7

#8 - Will Play at 9:00 am
Gallatin finishes at #8

GRC West Boys

Bell Game Rivalry joins the GRC

by Jeremy Benson, GrandRiverConference.com It's a mere 12 miles that separate Brookfield High School and Marceline High School, as per Google Maps.  But what's truly remarkable is the 54-year hiatus since these two schools last clashed in a conference football game. Brookfield and Marceline were both in the North Central Missouri Conference (NCMC) in 1970.  In 1970, the NCMC decided to fold.  A new conference with the same name would be organized,  Brookfield remained in a revamped NCMC from 1971 to 1975 before going independent until 1986, when they joined the Tri-Rivers Conference.  They jumped to the Clarence Cannon Conference (CCC) in 2010. Marceline was in the Northern Missouri Conference from 1971 to 1974 before joining the Lewis & Clark Conference in 1975, where they would be members for almost 50 years.
